Song in my head:"Even the best fall down sometimes,Even the wrong words seem to rhyme,Out of the doubt that fills my mind,I somehow find, You and I collide"

Hiya!

Just to get it out of the way so far there have been sightings of Will Smith and his wife Jada whatsie, Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity), Keanu Reeves (Neo), And Agent Smith.. but I've forgotten his real name. I only got to see Carrie Anne Moss when she came into the extras room to sign a poster for a kid, and Keanu when he was on his motorbike.

Being an extra is fun/ boring. Most of the time its just waiting around for hours and hours, but its still fun.

But I'll start at the beginning,

Got there at 6.30 in the morning, was freezing, collected my costume from wardrobe, went to go change and the first thing I saw was a guy in his underwear, afterwards I couldn't for the life of me remember what the guy looked like, but I could identify the underwear anywhere.

So changed, was sent down to hair and makeup, got my turban thingy put on, and then got made up, covered in fake dirt, and I mean covered, they dust it inside your nails, over your feet, on your neck. Then I got my injury, A couple slashes across my cheek. No prosthetics, just painted on in "Reel Blood" which is extremely realistic. About 7 people got prosthetics which are pre-formed cuts and injuries that are glued on and colored to make them look real, they were amazing. People would honestly see them and jump in shock.

We all ate breakfast together, the sight of about thirty people in rebel clothes, smeared in dirt and blood eating bacon and eggs is just beyond surreal.

Extra work is a joke, you get paid a pretty good wage to basically sit around in costume and eat. The food was great though, after about 4 hours of sitting around and talking to the people. I was called to go on set.

Me and two Maori guys plus a Hong Kong guy went up and this is the part I can't tell you. But it was pretty cool. You're probably not going to be able to see me in the film as we were only shooting fill shots. But maybe, just maybe, I get a foot in the movie.

Yup. Don't rush me, I know you'll all be eager to get an autograph…

Still I don't regret it, even though the first day I was there for fourteen hours and only on set for half an hour. I made some cool friends, even though there were about 3 groups, one group played cards for 10 hours straight, they had the card shark, a guy who had been banned from Australian casino's for card counting. Then there were the people who read and did school/university work while they waited and finally the miscellaneous, people who slept, wandered, smoked or flicked cards at the walls. I was mainly from the latter but hung out with both of the other groups, the card shark tried to teach me how to play but I sucked so I quit, then I got too bored reading and ended up hanging with the smokers and other terminally bored people.

Ooh! But I did a really dumb things the first day, firstly when I went to get makeup, they dirtied one hand then realized I had clear nail polish on so I had to take it off. So I cleaned it off and went back only this time a different woman did my make up and she said "We're going to dust you up now.. Oh! Did you do that at home? *pointing at my dirty hand*

Me: *startled* "What?..Uh..no, I was there and… she did it…"

Woman: *laughing * I was just kidding…

Then I did mental head slap, after I looked to my right and saw cute sugar -ray-lead-singer-guy lookalike laughing at me. He turned out to be the guy they were filming when I went on set and he smiled and winked at me which only served to further my embarrassment..

By the end of the first day I had minor crushes on 3 of the guys, as a girl said to me there "When you get that bored and you sit with people for that long sometimes they start to look cute" Incidentally her name was Shelley too and we were all woo about it.

But out of those 3 guys my first thoughts about two of them were "I bet he's an up-himself bastard" and true, maybe I only liked one of the guys because he had a cool tool belt with his costume.

However by the second day I ended up with minor crushes on an extra 3 people, making it six in all. I ended up liking the other actor/extra guy as well because he was really nice and always smiled or waved when he went by, plus he had a plug in his neck which looked cool. (I'm deep…)

On the second day there was a newbie, a guy who hadn't been through the 10 plus hours of sitting in boredom so he was all perky and excited in a toned down kind of way. He was ok looking but all it took was that he shook my hand when he introduced himself and his name… Corey… Aw… all American and cute like. So that makes it, two actor/extra guys, guy with tool belt (who turned out to be the guy I saw in his underwear), guy with injuries, Corey and finally a security guard who hit on me. Aw! I have no idea what his name is, but he was in the army in New Zealand (please note that despite how tempted I was I did not make a single sheep shagging joke!)

This was yesterday night after I had been asked to stay back incase they needed me. So it was only about 10 people sitting around and the security guy came in and sat down on the table where I was doing a crossword and chatted to the really big maori guy next to me who was making a hangman's noose. They both ended up talking to me, this was probably partly due to me being the only female under 30 in the room and both FHM magazines taken… meanwhile there is nothing grosser then sitting next to a guy when he's looking at nekkid women… but I'll get back to it, I was complaining about having to stay back. And the Maori guy said "Well, I'm glad you're here anyway…" which made me go all blushy and 'aww…'

Then the security guy and the Maori started talking about their army days and the Maori was a gunner, and the security guy was infantry. And they kept trying to show each other up, and security guy kept looking and me and doing the smiley thing and he had really cool eyes that were very, very dark, he was sort of what I'd imagine Morelli from Evanovich's books to look like. Anway we chatted, I said I was a bartender ( Its too hard to say I just finished a course and am going to look for work in a bar)

Personally I think he just wanted a blowjob before he finished his shift, but still it was nice to be flirted with. Hasn't happened in far too long. Just to reassure you, nothing happened. He's 27 or thereabouts.

But still… he was kinda cute and if I get to go back for another shoot then I'd like to talk to him some more.

Today is a free day, they're paying me for 8 hours of work but I get to stay home and sleep in. I love this industry.

That's all for me from now. *Mwah*

Take care now…
