Song in my head:"Even the best fall down sometimes,Even the wrong words seem to rhyme,Out of the doubt that fills my mind,I somehow find, You and I collide"

Firstly all I have to say is "Ow…" my back has been kneaded like dough and I'm very far into the land of owie….but here is the entry I didn't put up yesterday.

So…does anyone like Grinspoon here?!

I hope there's some form of yes from you all because as of today me and The Vyv are featured extras in their new song clip uh…hold on ..damnit… I've heard this song over 26 times today you'd think I could remember its name. Oh yeah "Lost Control" so yes well…for all the fans and non fans you can all wake up at 6am ( or whatever ungodly hour music videos are played at) and you can watch me do some very amusing moshing while covered in what appears to be copious amounts of sweat but is actually water!

I'll explain a little better.

Vyv called me and asked me to join her for this Grinspoon video (this is not for my casting agency, just a kind of practice run for me personally) so I did and we saw people and they were angsty and I felt sadly well balanced. I wore by black sort of tanktop/singlet thingy which has much silver shinyness down the middle ( this is so you can recognise me and gag with horror ) they made us gather on a patch of grass in Bondi Beach in our little group ( about 25 to begin with then 35 or so later). Then we listened to the as yet unreleased new Grinspoon track which made some people very, very happy ( they kept it on repeat for the rest of the 4 hours…*shudder*) Its quite a good song, didn't like it at first but after the fourth or fifth time I got into it and I know all the words…

Then they made us mosh and pretend we were actually in the concert and moshing to Grinspoon it was very embarrassing, just the 30 or so of us jumping up and down on a grassy bit while people stared and laughed and we tried our best to not laugh and be as depressed as possible. The director told us to not smile, to be saddened by many worldly concerns and to somehow mosh while being filled with teenage anxiety…

It was much of the funny, I tried my best to jump up and down and keep my hair out of my face while they poured water on us to look 'glistening' I was literally covered in water and dripping.. I do not sweat that much trust me. Me and Vyv got made special people and got base makeup and shiny oily spray on our faces, the director was really into the whole "look like you sweat like pigs" thing.

So they soaked us repeatedly with bottled water, no tap or hose for us, its Mount Franklin all the way!

And we were rearranged and watched and people took photo's and filmed us and I was used as a middle person and had to "go nuts" and be as moshy as possible needless to say I failed, I had gross matted wet gangly hair flying everywhere but I tried and that what counts if that clip turns up on the music video I may need to die with embarrassment.

So we did about twenty something takes, broke for lunch got free sausage-inna-bun I had coke which I had been craving since moshing began… and all was good.

Then came the actual moshing, when Grinspoon were playing live on stage with the other 200 plus people moshing as fans.

Let me just say this. I hate moshpits… I didn't think I hated them as much as I do now...the garbage concert mosh pit was ok, even though I ended up molesting a divider fence for over two hours that concert was fun. The Grinspoon concert was scary, people mosh on you for no other reason then they want to cause someone pain. Luckily I was squished in between Vyvyan and the guy who was in the extras group so I was fairly protected as far as things go. The people behind me were evil, sputum of Satan evil, they were all elbows and pointy bits and some guy almost go his hand down the back of my jeans… at least I think it was a guy and I swear either the guy behind me had a pointy wallet or else he was getting a little too into the moment.

The there was the girl with the scratchy top and many other owie factors, everyone was jammed in so tight sometimes I couldn't even lift my arms, feet went wherever there was any room, hands on hands on backs on shoulders, I didn't even know where my limbs were half the time.

And then there were crowd surfers..

I Hate crowd surfers, if you, reading this are a crowd surfer then I wish you all the pain in the world, and to die from some hideously agonizing genital disease. You deserve it.

For those who are not crowd surfers then carry on as usual, but there were heaps of crowd surfers huge 80 -90 kilo guys landing on people, necks bending forwards in pain as some idiot lands on them, getting kicked but them as they went over. Ugh. Hate, hate, hate, hate. My neck and back are in pain now from being landed on a few times…

But I'll move on, so they filmed us a little in the concert and that was basically that.

Ooh I forgot to say what the plot of the new Grinspoon video is, basically it's about two couples at Bondi Beach who wander by a Grinspoon concert and decide to go in, they get split up and each start getting with the other couples partner in the mosh pit…yeah it doesn't make much sense does it? Oh well…with any luck I'll be in it anyway and you can see me jumping up and down like an idiot.

Ok, it turns out I have an in class essay to do tomorrow that I was meant to study all week for…so I should go do that now.

Bye!
